評価の留意事項 Notes on Evaluation Criteria

This course uses a 100-point system.

***Class Contribution 70 points (70%)***
Each student is expected to contribute to class, by presenting their arguments during discussions, serving as a moderator during group discussions, as well as asking questions during lecture or other class activities. Students can earn up to 5 points for presenting an argument or question every time. Overall, students can earn full 60 points by doing so 14 times throughout the 7-week course (Please note that some comments, such as "I don't know," "I agree with XX," or any disrespectful comments, do not count for credit. Points may be reduced if any comments or behaviors are in violation of university rules. Finally, the failure to attend a number of days to satisfy university rules will result in no passing grade).

***Preparation Report 30 points (30%)***
Students must submit 3 preparation reports ("assignments") throughout the 7-week course. Each report, submitted in time and satisfied all requirements, is worth 10 points.
