This course will help develop the leader that exists in everyone. Ted has real world experience in leading organizations for over 25 years that ranged from a dozen people to 2,000. The framework used in class is realistic and can help you understand how to become a leader in any situation.

Even if you do not intend to manage people, this class can help you develop your own Life Purpose and also help in how you interact with others.

Ted looks forward to having an enjoyable and engaging class that will help you find your way to your ideal career while also teaching you some basics about leadership.

This course is taught by the case method, which allows students to develop problem solving and problem-finding skills through reliving the management case examples and real events in existing companies from their own perspectives. The group will also have group activities and chances for students to learn about their leadership and personality styles. The final project will be discussed in class and will help you develop your career and life goals.

第1日(Day1)

Day 1 Leadership Intro
Kenja BCP - is a case about a 25 year old new hire in Kenja and how he learns to be a leader in Kenja, the company that the professor currently runs. Real life and practical lessons can be learned in this case since the challenges are likely to be faced by the students in their own early careers.

Day 4 - Middle Level Management
Discussion on Kansai Digital. The protagonist in the case is the Professor earlier in his career and discusses the leadership issues involved in managing a turnaround situation. Real life lessons will be explained.

Professor: Ted Katagi

Ted is currently CEO of Kenja Corporation, a B2B Cloud Collaboration platform company selling to Enterprise Customers. He was also Head of Private Equity Asia for Fidelity Investments, Chief Marketing Officer of Vodafone Japan and Verizon Wireless (west), and Global Head of Commercial Strategy for Vodafone. Ted also worked at IBM and Bain and Company and holds an MBA from Harvard Business School as well as Computer Science and Economics degrees from UC Berkeley.
