授業の目的(意義) / Importance of this course

The main goal of this course is to develop your business writing skills in English. Since you will be expected to write emails and memos in English throughout your career, it is important that you are able to deliver your messages clearly in English writing.

In order to express yourself clearly when writing in English, you need to have well-developed vocabulary, adequate knowledge of English grammar as well as the ability to apply that knowledge to your writing, and an understanding of reader/writer expectations. Readers expect writers to follow certain conventions, and meeting these expectations will help you communicate your ideas more effectively to your audience.
