Students will critically read, understand, and respond to a variety of single panel comics, strips, serials, and selections from full graphic narratives. Central themes explored include nature, culture, diversity, ethics, and the search for identity. The interplay of visual imagery and text to communicate plot and theme will be a central focus of class discussion and student presentations.
