「政治」(Politics) とは「誰が何を、いつ、どのように得るのか」(Who gets when, what, and how)を考える学問であり、この考え方をすると、「政治」とは私たちの生活、住む世界においてあらゆる場所で存在しています。このクラスでは、あらゆる角度から「政治」に触れ、考え、皆さんがグローバルに活躍する際に必要となる柔軟な考え方や自身の意見構築に役立てられればと思います。
If you think of "politics" as a "process of who gets when, what, and how," politics exists in our lives and the world we live in a variety of ways. This course, therefore, is intended to provide students with an opportunity to learn, think, and debate about various topics involving such a process which could be useful for the post-graduation careers.

授業の目的（意義） / Importance of this course

このクラスでは、「教科書」に出てくるような政治学の理論や知識を「知る」「覚える」ことが目的ではありません。むしろ、政治に関するトピックやケースを通して、将来のどんなキャリアにも役立つような、様々な視点から物事を考える力、および自分の意見を構築する力を養うことを目的としています。特に自身およびグループで政治問題について考え、分析し、プレゼンすることを最終目的としています。
The purpose of this course is NOT to learn basic terms and concepts taught in a "textbook" and remember them for exams. Rather, the goal here is to provide students with opportunities to obtain or improve an ability to analyze an event from different perspectives as well as an ability to construct and present their own arguments, by using selected topics relating to Politics.

特定の教科書などはありません。「ケース」がメインの読み物です。ケースに関する質問（アサイメント）が予習レポート課題となります。必要であれば、参考文献や役立つ情報はアサイメント内に記載します。

授業内ではケースをテーマにしたクラス討論の前後に簡単な講義の時間を設け、ケースに関する理解を深めていきます。このクラスでは授業貢献度が評価の7０％を占めています。ケース前の「講義」途中に質問したりディスカッション内などでの発言も評価対象ですので、それぞれ得意な形で授業に積極的に参加してください。参加率の向上の仕方などの相談は授業後またはメールで受け付けます。

自己学習、レポートの作成に中央情報センターを積極的に使用してください。

＊＊＊挙手発言 7０点（70％）＊＊＊
クラス討論や講義中の有意義な一回の発言（質問、グループ討論でのファシリテーター、プレゼンテーション発表を含む）につき5点。７週のうち合計１4回発言で満点（採点条件あり、また大学規定の出欠回数を満たさないと不完全履修となります）。

＊＊＊予習レポート3０点（30％）＊＊＊
事例研究の週となる４.5.6週目のレポート（アサイメント）を提出、一回の提出につき10点満点（採点条件あり）。
