本授業は、国際ボランティア活動に関わる多様な事例の分析を通じて、グローバル社会における課題を主体的かつ論理的に考察する力を養うものであるという点で、本学の掲げる「フロンティア・スピリット」を備えたイノベーティブで倫理観あるリーダーの育成に関与する。
国際協力や市民社会の現場では、地域・文化・制度の多様性を踏まえた意思決定と実践的問題解決が求められる。本講義では、討論を通じて、国際ボランティアをめぐる社会的・倫理的課題を多面的に検討し、論理的思考力、倫理的判断力、ならびに多様性への理解を涵養する。

This course contributes to the University’s mission of cultivating innovative and ethically grounded leaders equipped with the Frontier Spirit by fostering students’ ability to examine proactively and logically the challenges of the global society through the analysis of diverse cases related to international volunteer activities.
In the fields of international cooperation and civil society, decision-making and practical problem-solving grounded in an understanding of regional, cultural, and institutional diversity are increasingly required. Through discussion-based learning, this course encourages students to examine the social and ethical issues surrounding international volunteerism from multiple perspectives, thereby cultivating logical reasoning skills, ethical judgment, and an informed appreciation of diversity.

本授業の目的は、国際ボランティア活動に関する基本的知識を学ぶとともに、具体的事例の検討を通じて、グローバル社会における市民的実践の意義と課題を主体的に考察できるようになることである。
学生は、国際協力、開発支援、災害対応、コミュニティ支援等の事例を素材として、国境を越える社会課題の構造、多様な主体（NGO、政府、企業、市民等）の役割、文化的・倫理的配慮の意義、ボランティアの可能性と限界、持続可能性といった観点から学修を進める。
具体的事例に基づいた討論を重ねることで、多面的な状況理解に基づき、根拠をもって自らの見解を形成する初歩的能力の涵養を目指す。

The purpose of this course is to provide students with foundational knowledge of international volunteer activities while enabling them, through the examination of concrete case studies, to independently consider the significance and challenges of civic engagement in the global society.
Using cases drawn from international cooperation, development assistance, disaster response, and community support, students will advance their learning from multiple perspectives, including the structural features of cross-border social issues, the roles of diverse actors (such as NGOs, governments, corporations, and citizens), the importance of cultural and ethical considerations, the possibilities and limitations of volunteerism, and questions of sustainability.
Through repeated case-based discussions, the course aims to cultivate students’ foundational ability to develop their own evidence-based perspectives grounded in a multifaceted understanding of complex situations.

本授業を通じて、学生は国際ボランティアに関する基本的知識を身に着け、その主要論点について説明する能力を獲得できる。また学生は、具体的事例に基づいて国際ボランティア活動の社会的・文化的・制度的背景を多面的に分析し、関係主体の役割と課題を論理的に整理できるようになる。
さらに学生は、本授業を通じて、国際ボランティアに関わる倫理的・社会的含意を踏まえ、自らの見解を明瞭に表現し、実際の活動に応用できる基礎的能力を身につけることができる。

Through this course, students will acquire foundational knowledge of international volunteerism and develop the ability to explain its major issues. Students will also become able to analyze, from multiple perspectives and based on concrete case studies, the social, cultural, and institutional contexts of international volunteer activities, and to organize logically the roles and problems of the relevant actors.
Furthermore, through this course, students will develop the foundational capacity to articulate their own views clearly, taking into account the ethical and social implications of international volunteerism, and to apply these insights to practical contexts.

Students will acquire foundational knowledge of international volunteerism and international cooperation while cultivating the ability to examine diverse social issues through logical reasoning.
Students will also develop an understanding of the importance of regional, cultural, and institutional diversity and will cultivate the foundational analytical skills necessary for collaboration with actors from a wide range of cultural and social backgrounds.
Furthermore, students will become able to articulate, on an evidence-based basis, their own perspectives and proposed solutions to issues related to international cooperation, taking into account their ethical and social implications.

● 予習・復習について
授業前には、参考文献の関連箇所や適宜提示する資料を読み、事前課題（予習レポート）に取り組む。予習レポートは、授業前日までにGoogle Classroom経由で提出すること。
授業後は、授業資料をもとに講義内容を復習し、文献、新聞、雑誌、インターネット等のメディアを通じて、自分の興味関心に応じてさらなる理解・考察を深めること。
事前および事後学習の時間は、各100分を目安とします。

課題に対しては、講義中で全体的なコメントを提供する形でフィードバックを行う。また、必要に応じてGoogle Classroomにて個別のコメントや助言を加える。
