授業の目的（意義） / Importance of this course
本講義では、アクティブ・ラーニングを通じて「総合政策」に関する基礎知識の習得する。政策とは、様々な問題に対する解決手段の体系である。政策学は比較的新しい学問領域である。その政策学の学習を通じた問題解決能力の習得は、本学のMission Statementに掲げられた「フロンティア・スピリット」を身につける一助となる。
本科目では、上記のラーニングゴールの確かな実現に向けて、ケース教材を用いた討論授業を行う。本科目の履修者には、討論授業に参加するための予習レポートの作成と、クラスでの積極的な発言が求められる。

In this class, students learn the basic knowledge of policy and management through the Active Learning. Policies are defined as systematic means for solving problem. Policy studies are relatively new academic discipline. Skills for the solving problem through the learning policy studies help students to acquire the “Frontier Spirit” stated in the NUCB Mission Statement.
In this course, we will conduct class discussions using case studies in order to achieve the learning goals. The students attending this course may be required to write a preparatory report and must participate in the class discussions.

200名近い規模のクラスでの参加型授業であるため、個々の発言機会が少なくなってしまい、申し訳なく思っている。その点で改善の工夫が必要であり、より積極的な参加が可能な環境を提供していくつもりである。
