授業の概要　Course Overview

Misson Statementとの関係性 / Connection to our Mission Statement

国際関係論は、国家間の戦争を回避し、平和裏に紛争を解決するための知恵を探求する学問である。今日、NUCBのMission Statement「ビジネス界や社会の発展をもたらす知識の創出」を目指すためには、一国内の政治にとどまらず、国家間の協力、国家と様々なアクターとの協働を実現するための課題を理解する必要性が生じている。本授業では、それらのイシューについて、国際関係論の分析枠組みに基づいて理解していく。
International Relations is the study of the wisdom to avoid war among nations and to resolve conflicts peacefully. Today, in order to achieve the mission statement of NUCBA "creating knowledge that brings about development of the business world and society," it is necessary to understand the politics in one country but also the issues of cooperation among nations and collaboration between nations and various actors. In this class, students will understand those issues based on the analytical framework of international relations theory.

授業の目的（意義） / Importance of this course

本講義では、国際関係論の基礎的な概念や理論を、ケースを用いて学ぶ。本講義は、学生が国際関係論に関する基礎知識を身に着け、国家間の武力紛争など現在進行形で生じている事象や過去の事象が発生した原因を論理的に分析する力を身に着けることを目標とする。
In this course, students will learn basic concepts and theories of international relations theory by using cases. The goal of this course is to provide students with a basic knowledge of international relations theory and the ability to logically analyze ongoing events such as armed conflicts between states and the causes of past events.

到達目標 / Achievement Goal

講義を通して、以下のことができるようになることを目標とする。
①国際関係論の基礎的な用語・概念を修得し、３ つ以上説明できるようになる。
②国際関係論の主要な研究テーマを 2 つ以上取り上げ、自分の言葉で論理的に説明できるようになる。

The goal of the course is for students to be able to do the following
(1) Students will learn basic terms and concepts of international relations theory and be able to explain at least three of them.
(2) Students will be able to take up at least two major research themes in international relations and explain them logically in one's own words.

事前学修と事後学修の内容、レポート、課題に対するフィードバック方法　Pre- and Post-Course Learning, Report, Feedback methods

【学習方法】
・予習：毎回レジュメとケースを授業日の前日までにGoogle classroomにアップロードする予定である。受講生は、授業前にレジュメとケースの資料を自分でダウンロードし、予習することが求められる。
・復習：２周目以降毎回小テストを行うため、受講生は授業内容やディスカッション内容を講義ノートとしてまとめ、よく復習することが推奨される。
【予習レポート】
・受講生は、毎回の授業で前日までにGoogle classroom経由でケースに対する予習レポートを提出する。
【課題に対するフィードバック】
・レポートに対するフィードバックはGoogle classroomの限定コメントを通じて行う。小テストについては授業中に間違いの多かった問題について解説を加える。
【中央情報センター（図書館）の活用】
・予習と復習は、各200分/週を目途に行うことが望ましい。質問についてはオフィスアワーに研究室で個別に対応する。中央情報センター（図書館）には参考図書が所蔵されているため積極的な使用を推奨する。

第1日（Day1）

【ガイダンス】
・授業の概要、進め方、評価方法を説明します。
【主権国家体制】
・国際関係を分析するための主要アクター「主権国家」とは何かを理解する。
【アナーキーと国際政治】
・「国際政治はアナーキーである」とは何を意味するのか、なぜアナーキーであれば国際秩序の達成が難しいのか、検討する。

●使用するケース
第一次世界大戦
※オリジナルケース。変更可能性あり。

第2日（Day2）

【制度】
・制度とは何か、国際制度はどのように国家間関係の協調を促すのか、安全保障分野を中心に検討する。

●使用するケース
湾岸戦争
※Thompson, A. (2006). "Coercion Through IOs: The Security Council and the Logic of Information Transmission," International Organization 60, 1-34. の一部抜粋・要約をもとに、講師が作成したオリジナルケース。変更可能性あり。

第3日（Day3）

【規範】
・規範とは何か。規範はどのように生成され、広まるのか考察する。

●使用するケース
核のタブー
※Tannenwald, N.(1999) "The Nuclear Taboo," International Organization 53, 433-68.をもとに講師が一部抜粋、要約して作成したオリジナルケース。変更可能性あり。

第4日（Day4）

【国際交流・アイデンティティ】
・ヒトやモノの国境を越えた移動が活発になり国際交流が進むと、アイデンティティにどのような影響を与え、ひいては国家間関係にどのような影響をもたらすのか、考察する。

【国内政治体制と国際関係】
・なぜ国家は戦争をするのか、その要因を国内政治体制から検討する。

フォークランド戦争

第6日（Day6）

【対外政策決定と外交】
・対外政策の決定過程のタイプに与える国内政治の影響を学ぶ。

●使用するケース
キューバ危機
※グラハム・アリソン、フィリプ・ゼリコウ（2023）『決定の本質：キューバ・ミサイル危機の分析（第４版）』（漆島稔訳）日経BPを講師が一部抜粋・編集して作成したオリジナルケース。変更可能性あり。

第7日（Day7）

【内戦と平和構築】
・内戦はどのような場合に発生するのか。国際社会の関与は内戦の終結にどのような影響をもたらすのか、考察する。

●使用するケース
シリア内戦
※東大作著『内戦と和平』（2020）中公新書、第４章の内容を講師が一部抜粋、要約して作成したオリジナルケース。変更可能性あり。
