授業の概要 Course Overview

Our mission, guided by a 'Frontier Spirit', is to develop leaders and entrepreneurs with a global perspective, advanced management skills, and high ethical standards that will equip them to succeed in bridging the gap between New Asia and the rest of the world. The course provides basic knowledge of management, applications and up-to-date management theories, And helps students to develop entrepreneurship.

授業の目的(意義) / Importance of this course

The purpose of this course is to study broadly the fundamentals of management, to develop communication skills, also to foster etical qualification. And the course provides future job considerations and multiple visions toward possible management situations. Moreover, the course helps to develop sound understanding & analysis capabilities, also to advance to senior course smoothly.

5. It helps to develop manegerial ability which is closely related mission statements of NUCB(to create leaders rather than followers, to nurture young persons who think creatively and independently and to impart to students the skills and qualities that they will need to become pioneers in the future)

到達目標 / Achievement Goal



This course is aimed for offering the students to survive under borderless globalizations & severe competitions among rivalry companies. It helps to understand complexity of business environment and to develop executable problem-solving ability. Students are required to have comprehensive understanding of 'Business strategy', 'Organization theory', 'Japanese management', 'Innovation', 'CSR'.

※ The students are required to write a preparatory report and must aggresively participate in the class discussions to satisfy diploma policy of NUCB.

担当教員のプロフィール About the Instructor 



Seung-Jin Ryu graduated from Seoul National University in 2000, with a Bachelor Degree of Industrial Engineering, and Received his Master’s at the same university in 2002. After that He joined the IT Research Center of LG as a Research Specialist and have experienced several work areas especially in SCM, CRM, KPI Planning about 4 years. In 2005, He received Japanese Government Scholarship and graduated his Ph.D course from Waseda University in 2010 majoring in Management and System Engineering. He started his faculty experience as Research Associate at Waseda University from 2010 to 2013. And have taught as a Lecturer several universities such as Toyo University, Takasaki City University of Economics, Tsukuba Gakuin University. Currently he is Assistant Professor in Faculty of Management at NUCB since 2016.
