中国は台頭著しい経済大国であり、日本の最大な貿易対象国でもある。本コースでは中国の政治と日中関係について学ぶことを通じて、中国をはじめアジアで活躍するビジネスリーダーになるために必要不可欠な基礎的な教養を身につける。
China is a rapidly rising economic power and Japan's largest trading partner. This course helps participants develop fundamental knowledge about China's politics and Sino-Japanese relations, which is indispensable for becoming a business leader connecting Japan with Asia.

授業の目的（意義） / Importance of this course

国際社会における中国の存在感がますます高まっています。この巨大化する隣国について基礎的な教養知識を身につけることはアジアだけではなく、国際社会全体の行方を理解するためにもますます重要となっています。本講義は比較の視点から中国の政治外交の主な側面を学び、建設的な日中関係の構築について思考を深めていきます。
China's presence in the international community is increasing. Understanding this enormous neighboring country is becoming more important for understanding Asia's whereabouts and the international community as a whole. In this lecture, we will learn the main aspects of China's politics and foreign policy from a comparative perspective and deepen our thinking about building constructive Sino-Japanese relations.

学修到達目標 / Achievement Goal

受講者は半年間の勉強を通じて、時には難解で、時には理解不能に思われる中国政治と外交の各事象について、それぞれの答えをもつようになるでしょう。また中国に対する理解を深めることによって、この巨大な隣国とどのように付き合って行くべきかという問題についても思考を深めて行きます。

In this course, participants learn comprehensively about China's politics and foreign policy which sometimes seems obscure and incomprehensible to young Japanese students. Participants are also expected to think in-depth about how Japan should face a rising China.

①アクティブラーニングを実践するために、事前の予習が必要不可欠となる。講義計画に書いてある授業内容について授業開始前に３時間以上を時間をかけて予習を行うことが求められる。
②中央情報センターに所蔵されている図書2冊以上読み、映像資料は3点以上を鑑賞すること。

中国とグローバル・ガバナンスーー日本との比較から：中国がグローバル・ガバナンスに参加するようになった背景と動機及び行動パータンについて学ぶ。

中国の対外経済援助ーー日本との比較から：中国の対外経済援助は日本を含む先進国のそれと大きく異なる。中国の対外経済援助の規模、特徴及びその原因について学ぶ。

第4日（Day4）

中国の国際平和協力活動ーー日本との比較から：中国は国際平和維持活動にも積極的に参加している。しかし中国の行動パータンにはアメリカやヨーロッパ諸国とは異なる独自性がある。中国はなぜ国際平和協力活動に積極的に参加しているのか、どのような原則や制限の下で参加しているのか？国際平和協力活動において日中間には協力の可能性はあるのか？

中国と東アジア経済統合問題：アジア太平洋地域における自由貿易経済圏形成の潮流の中で中国はどのような外交を展開してきたのか？中国が目指す東アジア地域経済秩序はどのようなものなのか？

中国と知的財産問題ーー日本との関係を中心に：なぜ中国はパクリがこれほど盛んなのか？中国では偽物を取り締まる法律があるのか？偽物が横行しているのになぜ技術開発が盛んに行われ、企業は急速な成長を遂げるのか？

Active participation and shared learning is at the core of the case method learning.Participants are asked to limit their use of electronic devices (e.g., laptops, smartphones) during classroom sessions in support of this model.
