授業の目的（意義） / Importance of this course
政治は公共政策や意思決定など、様々な形で社会に関わっています。本講義では、政治学の様々な理論や概念を、ケースを用いて学んでいきます。本講義は、学生が政治に関する基本的知識を身に着け、様々な角度から政治的課題を理解し、国内及び国際政治における事象を分析できるようにすることを目標にします。本科目で扱う政治に関する基本的知識は、各国の政治を比較する比較政治学、国際社会の政策決定等を分析する国際政治学など、政治学の小分野においても必要となるものです。日本国内のみならず国際社会の抱える政治的課題を考察する実践力を養います。これらの観点から、政治に関する基本的知識の習得は、世界的視野を持って、国際舞台で活躍することにおいて有用です。
Politics is involved in society in various ways such as public policy or decision making. In this course, students will learn various theories and concepts of Political Science by using cases. The objective of this course is to provide basic knowledge of politics to students and to develop students’ ability to learn political issues from various points of view, which will help students to analyze domestic and international political affairs. Basic political knowledge that this course provides will be useful in learning other sub-field of Political Science, such as Comparative Politics or International Politics. With the knowledge of politics, students will be able to develop practical skills to analyze the political challenges that domestic and international society face. Learning basic knowledge of politics will ultimately help students succeeding in international society with global perspectives.

《導入：政治とは何か》
（1）政治とはなにか、政治はどのように社会に関わっているのか、（2）政治を分析する枠組みにはどのようなものがあるのかという、学問としての政治学とは何かを学びます。

《政治体制：民主主義、権威主義》政治体制の分類にはどのようなものがあるのかを理解し、民主主義・権威主義の比較を行い、民主化について考察します。

《選挙と投票》選挙制度と投票行動、政治における代表（Representation）とは何かを学び、選挙におけるメディアの役割について考えます。

《政党と政党システム》政党の役割・組織・システムを解説し、日本と他国の比較をします。

《執政・立法・司法》議院内閣制と大統領制の比較、議会と立法、司法機関の独立について考察します。

《公共政策と官僚》公共政策はどのような過程で決定され、実施されるのか、官僚の政策における役割について考えます。

《多層的政治：連邦制、地方分権、地域主義》中央政府や地方政府といった異なるレベルでの政治について解説します。
