本講義では、歴史的視点と構造的視点から現代中国の政治史および政治構造について学びます。政治史と政治構造を理解することは現代中国を理解するための重要な前提となります。国際社会における中国の存在感がますます高まる昨今、本講義を通じて現代中国の真相に迫ってみませんか？
本講義は大きく次のような二つの部分によって構成されます。前半は中華人民共和国前史、つまり1949年中華人民共和国が成立までの中国近代史について解説します。後半は中華人民共和国史、すなわち1949年建国後の政治史について学びます。

This course is designed to introduce the politics of contemporary China from the Republic of China era to present and from historical and structural perspectives. To grasp the whole picture of Chinese politics, understanding the political history and political structure of China is essential.
In this course, students will learn the history of modern China, the founding process of the People’s Republic of China, the changing roles of ideology, China’s Communist Party, political institutions, political and economic reforms, democratization and political participation, etc.
In this course, we will conduct class discussions using case studies in order to achieve the learning goals. The students attending this course may be required to write a preparatory report and must participate in the class discussions.

①イントロダクション②中華人民共和国前史（一）：アヘン戦争から中華民国成立までの道程について学びます。

ディスカッションテーマ：「西洋の衝撃」に対する日本と中国の反応第2日（Day2）
中華人民共和国前史（二）：国際共産主義運動と中国共産党の誕生、ソ連の支援下での中国国民党の改造、共産党と国民党の初期の協力について学びます。●使用するケース
ディスカッションテーマ：ソ連と中国革命第3日（Day3）
中華人民共和国前史（三）：満州事変、日中戦争、第二次国共協力、第二次国共内戦を経て中華人民共和国の成立までの歴史について学びます。●使用するケース
ディスカッションテーマ：日本と中国革命第4日（Day4）
中華人民共和国史（一）：中華人民共和国の成立、大躍進政策の失敗後の経済調整政策、そしてその経済調整政策をめぐる路線闘争について学びます。●使用するケース
ディスカッションテーマ：毛沢東の人物像第5日（Day5）
中華人民共和国史（二）：文化大革命とはなにか、毛沢東はなぜ文化大革命を発動したのか？その結末とはなにかについて学びます。●使用するケース
1976：毛沢東没後の華国鋒（兪）第6日（Day6）
中国近現代史をテーマとした映画の鑑賞鑑賞予定の映画：「活きる」、「さらば！わが愛」、「ラストエンペラー」のうち一つ

映画についてディスカッション第7日（Day7）
中国・台湾関係：国共内戦で負けて台湾に逃れた国民党がどのようにして台湾で根を下ろすことができたかについて学びます。さらに戦後長く続いてきた二つの中国問題について解説します。●使用するケース
