本セミナーは本学ミッションステートメントのフロンティアスピリットを備えたイノベイティブで倫理観のある人材となるためのスキルと教養を身につけるためのものです。
The purpose of this seminar is that students learn knowledge and skills to be innovative leaders having the frontier spirits and ethical values, which is an important part of the missions of this school.
授業の目的（意義） / Importance of this course
これまで学んできた知識と社会科学的なアプローチをもとに、学生各人が社会に対してもつ関心や興味に関する探究すると同時に、それを自らの言葉と考えで卒業論文というかたちで表現するため準備を行う。
学生たちが切磋琢磨を通じてお互いの能力を高めると同時に、授業内外での交流を通じて生涯協力し合える友人関係を構築する。

Based on the knowledge and social scientific approach they have learned so far, students will conduct inquiries into their individual interests and curiosities about society, while simultaneously preparing to express them in the form of a graduation thesis using their own words and thoughts.
Students will enhance each other's abilities through friendly competition while simultaneously building lifelong friendships based on cooperation, fostered through interactions both inside and outside of the classroom.

・卒論の初稿の完成に向けてその進捗を発表（15分程度）をする。それに対して適宜助言する。
・卒論の進捗発表に際しては、資料作成とスピーチ練習に入念な準備（何時間かければ充分というものではありません）を行う。発表の後、クラス全体でディスカッションを行う。
・疑問やさらに知りたいことがあれば、オフィスアワーや授業の前後に質問してください。そのほかでも、アポをとっていただければ、適宜対応します。

1982年、慶応義塾大学法学部政治学科卒業後、株式会社PHP研究所入社。一貫して政策シンクタンク部門に所属。政策シンクタンクPHP総研研究主幹、同代表、PHP研究所取締役専務執行役員（研究グループ総括）などを経て、現在に至る。その間、日本の政治行財政や選挙などの分析・研究を通じて政策提言を行うほか、政府・地方自治体におけるビジョンづくりや行財政改革に参画する。現在、政策シンクタンク構想日本シニアアドバイザー、パルテノンジャパン株式会社上席顧問なども務める。

Dr. Nagahisa started his career at PHP Institute, inc., as a research fellow after graduation from Keio University in 1982. His personal research interests extend to the Japanese political and administrative systems and the role of the manifestos in Japanese national elections. As a policy advisor, he has been involved in policy-making in the national and the local governments as well as making policy recommendations to the policymakers.
