授業の概要 Course Overview

The present course aligns with the Mission Statement of NUCB "to educate innovative and ethical leaders who possess a ‘Frontier Spiritʼ and to create knowledge that advances business and society. Our undergraduate students will have the ability to bridge the gap between New Asia and the rest of the world." This course will therefore focus on Business English reading and listening skills to foster students' 'frontier spirit', a global perspective, and the ability to contribute to the business world in which English is considered the language of business communication.
To improve students' business English reading and listening skills, this course focuses on the TOEIC test. Students will learn productive and receptive skills that will enable them to achieve the CEFR B1 level (550-780) on the TOEIC® Listening and Reading test.
Students will also continue to acquire general English skills such as speaking, listening, reading, grammar and vocabulary.
By the end of this term, students will be able to understand and use advanced level business vocabulary and communication strategies related to travel and entertainment, human resources, and manufacturing. Moreover, students are expected to demonstrate abilities to understand and produce TOEIC-specific conversations and talks, and will be able to achieve a TOEIC score target of minimum 600 points.
