SEMINAR 4 is the fourth course of the sequence (SEMINAR 1-6). Through the courses, students will develop the necessary research skills to conduct a project leading to the production of a 4,000 word thesis in English. By doing research on their interests, students will also develop their ‘Frontier Spirit’, which is highlighted in our Mission Statement, to enter unexplored areas and propose the future directions.

The aim of SEMINAR 4 is to support students’ data collection and analysis.

By the end of SEMINAR 4, students will produce a 2,500-word seminar progress report (including Introduction, Literature Review and Methodology sections) and complete preliminary data analysis.

・This course will be taught using lectures and pair/group work. Please complete reading and writing assignments prior to each seminar. Students will be expected to spend 1-2 hours per week doing assignments and working on their thesis projects.
