授業の目的（意義） / Importance of this course
名古屋商科大学のミッションは、"フロンティアスピリット"を備えたイノベーティブで倫理観あるリーダーの育成、そしてビジネス界や社会の発展をもたらす知識の創出をすることである。名古屋商科大学の学生は、ニューアジアと世界をつなぐ能力を有している。
セミナーは教員と学生との個人的接触により、人格の陶冶と専門分野の研究を行うもので、本学教育の根幹をなします。大学教育は、マンモス化による 教師・学生間の対話欠如、知育偏重の教育内容など、久しくその本質を問われつづけています。そうした状況下、本学では師弟同行、すなわちチュートリアル制度をいちはやく実施してきました。これは教育の根底にある人間に着目したからです。真理の前に師と学生諸君が手を携え道を求めて前進する、師弟の魂の交流の中にこそ、現代教育に見失われた人間の復活があります。
セミナーは2年次前期から開始し、セミナー1〜6を一貫して履修することを原則とする。セミナーでは最終的に卒業論文を提出し、これがセミナー 1〜6の単位認定の条件になる。卒業論文を作成するためには、自分が何に知的な関心をもっているのかを自覚し、そのテーマを論理的に考え、その思考の 過程および結果を文章にまとめなければいけない。
その知的関心の対象が考える値するものなのか、論理的に考えるとはどういうことなのか、思考の過程および結果を適切な文章として表現するにはどう すれば良いのか、ということについては、一人で考えているだけではなかなか先に進まない。そこでセミナーの参加者および教員がこれらについて論じあうことになる。
本科目は、全学科において専門科目として位置付けられている。

NUCB s mission is to educate innovative and ethical leaders who possess a Frontier Spirit and to create knowledge that advances business and society. Our students will have the ability to bridge the gap between New Asia and the rest of the world.
The seminar is to cultivate of the personality and to conducts research on sepcialized fields by the personal contact between faculty members and students, and forms the basis of our education. The university education has long been questioned about its essence because of the lack of dialogue between teachers and students due to mammoth formation, the educational content of intellectual education bias, etc. Under these circumstances, our university has carried out the tutorial system accompanied by the master's teacher from early years. This is because we focused on the person underlying education. The resurrection of the human being lost in contemporary education is only in the interchange of the souls, where the teacher and students go hand in hand and seek the way before the truth.
Seminars are to be started from the first half of the second year and in principle consistently take seminars 1 to 6. At the seminar, the final dissertation paper will be submitted and this will be the condition of the unit certification of seminars 1 to 6. In order to prepare a graduation thesis, you must be aware of what you are intellectually interested in, and think logically about that theme and summarize the process and results of that thought into sentences.
Is it worth the consideration of the object of intellectual interest?
What does it mean to think logically?
How can we express our thinking process and results as appropriate sentences?
Just thinking alone is not going ahead.
Participants of the seminar will discuss these issues.
