授業の概要 Course Overview

It is indispensable for business leaders to have wider scopes in social issues, and to think logically in analyzing present and future problems. It is also important to appreciate diversity in cultures and values. This course fosters students' understanding of global issues, as well as enhances their critical thinking and communication skills.
授業の目的（意義） / Importance of this course
The objective of the seminar is to make students comprehend various social issues with global perspectives. Students are expected to develop receptive mind towards diversity, to foster critical thinking and ethical attitudes, and to acquire communication skills with people of different cultural backgrounds.
到達目標 / Achievement Goal
In Seminar 4, students undertake further research on their research questions. They are expected to read critically the literature and write a few chapters of their theses.

セミナーは、自学自習方法を学ぶ場ですから、授業時間以上の自主的な学習が必要です。セミナー4からは卒論作成に本格的に取り組みますので、毎週5時間以上の自主学習が必要になります。
授業は、卒論研究のプレゼンテーションとディスカッションを中心に行います。課外での情報収集など主体的に取り組み、他学生のプレゼンテーションやディスカッションから学ぶ姿勢を大切にしてください。
卒論のドラフトはコメントを付して返却し、修正を指示します。個別の質問に関してはオフィスアワーも活用してください。
図書館には卒論研究に必要な多くの参考図書が所蔵されていますし、また「相互貸借」などを活用して図書館を通して様々なデータや論稿を入手してください。

授業スケジュール Course Schedule
第1日（Day1）
アカデミック・リサーチ、プレゼンテーション文献サーベイ、アカデミック・プレゼンテーション
1. 卒論研究に必要な基本的な文献の収集をします。CiNiiや学内データベースを使って学術論文なども検索・入手します。
2. 前期に作成したアウトラインを使って、プレゼンテーションを作成します。地図や図表の作成をして、より高度なプレゼンテーション・スキルを習得してください。
第2日（Day2）
クリティカル・リーディング1. 卒論研究の参考文献を使って、読み方やまとめ方を練習します。
2. 各自の論文テーマに沿った雑誌記事や学術論文を入手し、学術的な視点から読み解く練習をします。
第3日（Day3）
ディスカッション、ディベート1. それぞれの卒論のテーマでクラス・ディスカッションをします。
2. 各人の提案したテーマでディベートを行います。

2. 論文の書き方を習得します。作図や作表の方法も習得してください。

アカデミック・プレゼンテーション1. 各自の研究テーマで研究成果の発表を行います。レジュメの書き方も習得します。

卒論研究のプロセスでの提出物が多くあります。提出物は課外での研究成果として評価します。締切は厳守です。発表を傾聴することもコミュニケーション能力の１つです。プレゼンテーションや提出物だけでなく、発表への質問・コメント、あるいはディスカッションへも評価の対象となります。
