During the class, students will delve into financial topics such as time value of money, securities pricing, cost of capital, foreign exchange markets, and financial risk management in global markets. Through case-based learning, participants will bridge theory with practice, gaining the expertise needed to navigate complex financial environments and make informed, value-driven decisions.

○ Estimate a firm’s cost of capital and apply capital budgeting techniques such as Net Present Value (NPV), Internal Rate of Return (IRR), and Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) in investment decision-making.
○ Apply financial derivatives such as forwards and options to hedge against foreign exchange and interest rate risks in corporate settings.

Course Prerequisites
○ Subject topics will be taught using case studies. Pre-reading is essential. It is recommended that participants spend at least 1 hours preparing for each case, including previewing the fundamental knowledge provided in the casebook. Assignment questions will be provided before class to facilitate understanding of related information and relevant case studies.
