授業の概要 Course Overview

この授業は、デザイン思考およびイノベーションマネジメント、企業のケースに基づく議論と、フィールドワークによる実践的体験から成ります。この2本立てによって、デザイン思考と戦略の理解を深め、現実の問題に対して、グループ活動の中で自ら人間中心デザインによって戦略開発を体験します。
This class consists of design thinking and innovation management, corporate case-based discussions, and hands-on experience through fieldwork. Through this two-pronged approach, you will deepen your understanding of design thinking and strategy, and experience strategy development by human-centered design yourself in group activities for real problems.

授業の目的(意義) / Importance of this course

デザイン思考をどのように経営に取り入れるべきでしょうか。デザイン思考を経営に生かした先進事例の議論を通じて、自社の問題解決や新規事業開発に適応するための示唆を得ます。
注意:本クラスは、実戦から学ぶことを重視しているため、知識や枠組みが与えられることを前提として参加する方には適合しません。
注意:クラスはzoomで実施します。各自PCを準備し、有線イーサネットあるいはWifiの設定をしてください。クラス開始前に、必要なソフトウエアの導入・設定が必要な場合、それらを済ませてから参加してください。
How should design thinking be incorporated into management? Through discussions of advanced cases that make use of design thinking in management, you will obtain suggestions for adapting to your own problem solving and new business development.
Note: This class focuses on learning from actual combat, so it is not suitable for those who participate on the premise that they will be given knowledge and framework.

デザイン思考の理解を深め、戦略へ適応するためのヒントを得ること。企業の課題に対して、人間中心視点で戦略開発を体験すること。一連の議論と実践的な活動によって、自社の戦略へデザイン思考の適応可能に対する理解を深めること。

Gain a better understanding of design thinking and get tips for adapting to your strategy. Experience strategic development from a human-centered perspective on corporate issues. Deepen your understanding of the adaptability of design thinking to your strategy through a series of discussions and hands-on activities.

【セッション1】デザイン思考の理解
事前リーディング「デザイン思考が世界を変える」を読み自社にあてはめ、すでに行っていること、これから活用したいことなどについて議論する。
【セッション2】デザイン思考と経営
デザイン思考から生まれた革新的なアイデアを企業ではどのように受け取るのか、事例を通じて議論する。
【セッション3】デザイン思考の活用
IBMでのデザイン思考の導入事例を題材に、企業の対面する課題、その対処について議論する。

東京工業大学大学院総合理工学研究科システム科学専攻修了。東京大学大学院総合文化研究科博士課程修了(学術博士)。(株)日本IBM入社。情報技術の研究開発、サービス研究に従事。科学技術振興機構サービス科学プログラム(S3FIRE)フェロー、早稲田大学教授などを経て、15年9月より現職。経済産業省産業構造審議会商務流通情報分科会「情報経済小委員会」委員「サービス産業の高付加価値化に関する研究会」座長代理「攻めのIT投資評価指標策定委員会」委員等。早稲田大学ナノ・ライフ創新研究機構 客員上級研究員、INFORMS Service Scienceおよび情報処理学会の編集委員を兼務。主な著作:Global Perspectives on Service Science: Japan(共編著、Springer)、Serviceology for Designing the Future(共編著、Springer)

Dr. Yuriko Sawatani is a professor at Tokyo University of Technology. She received her Ph.D. at the University of Tokyo. She joined IBM, software research and development. After working at IBM's R&D strategy, she moved to IBM research as a strategist of personal systems. She was assigned to research strategy at IBM Thomas J. Watson Research Center, and started service research since 2005 by leading On Demand Innovation Services. She was appointed to a fellow at Japan Science and Technology Agency, and established service science research in Japan. She joined Waseda University in 2013, and had lectures at several universities, including Tokyo Institute of Technology. She wrote a book about service science and papers on service research management. She is active at service science communities (INFORMS Service Science, Society for Serviceology, Frontiers in service, Human Side of Service Engineering(HSSE)) and R&D management (Portland International Center for Management of Engineering and Technology (PICMET), The Japan Society for Science Policy and Research Management(JSSPRM)).
